Hey all, I know that many of you submit articles to article sites in order to build some links, and I wonder whether that will also be useful for my blog. While I see the positive sides of getting your name out, I wonder whether it wouldn't lead to your article being published all over the net without you getting any traffic from it. What do you all think about article sites? Please, let me know. Also, if you think submitting articles is a good idea, I'd like to know the best places to do so. Thanks!
It has link value, and I will tell you why...I just read your blog and it is all about healthy environment. As some insiders of DP know, I am the webmaster for Ontario Nature a very active group that preserves nature in Ontario, Canada and we have offshoots that also protect the Greenbelt (another site I am webmaster for...no link yet, still working on it.) and you are about to get a free link on both. What I recommend is joining some nature type forums and making sure your signature points to your blog. Uh-oh gonna plug again, we have a forum Nature Forum I'm also the moderator.
Its only worked great for me, there are people making thousands just from submitting articles to article sites
Submitting articles is a great way to build backlinks and increase your serp ranking. Make sure you use the proper anchor text in your author resource box when creating the article.
as everyone is trying to say but hasn't yet, relevant sites or articles relevant to yours will help you the most. ezinearticles.com articledashboard.com submit to them with articles relevant to your site but not the same ones that are on your site.
I don't waste my time submitting my articles/sites to article directories, there are many more things that I can be doing to build better links.
@All: I get that it helps, but aren't you afraid other people use your articles all over the web without referring to you? @Gatorade: Please, elaborate!
IMO this is a good thing to do. The important fact is that you can include active links to your site in the "ressource box", usually up to three. Depending on your topic, these spread quite well... Rainer
the article directorys listed here will allow you to put your link in the article...at least i know ezine will
I recently started doing artcile submissions - I found a long list of the directories accepting artciles. And here is what I can tell you: There are directories that have paid membership, there are directories that can process your artciles for months, and those that have very bad search engine crawlebility. As a guy who has been in seo for a while, I will share the directories where my articles where approved very fast, below I will give URLs of my posts so that you can see if the directory allow listing a link right in the text or Author signature only, see if the page with my artcile has been indexed, see how many reader an overage post gets and other related information. Hope you do not mind it, so: http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=641572 - One of those rare directories that allow links right in the artcile http://www.amazines.com/Sexuality/article_detail.cfm/343447?articleid=343447 Here is another one - all my links in the text body, which is good http://www.articledashboard.com/Article/Happiness-components/330338 My artcile was approved pretty fast, but I could only have my links in the artcile signature http://www.article-hangout.com/Article/In-chase-of-happiness-/126015 Links in the text itself, fast approval Than there were directories where my artciles hanged waiting for approval for months - so I moved them to other directories. I have been doing artciles submissions not for long but for those of you who have just started doing that - do not do my mistakes, and start with the directories I listed above. P.S. If you liked my post - you may add up to my reputation. Good luck to everybody!
