Hello all Im knew to the website creation, and promotion. I’ve heard a lot about submitting articles to sites, to drive traffic to websites. My question is, how many sites do you normally submit to, and if you could recommend any sites. Another question I have is, can I submit someone elses articles that I have on my site to article sites, giving them full credit of course, and have the article linked back to my site Thanks for any insite
You want to submit user content from your site to what kind of other sites? Bookmarking? That'd be fine I use stumble upon for a few different types of things, but mostly for blog contests I find on the internet. You may find a great amount of likable topics at stumbleupon.com. Also, there's digg.com, technorati (I like a lot of their content), and recently I've been hearing a lot of talk about SQid
If you are going to submit articles written by other people this all depends on the rights you have to the article. They may have given you the right to do what you want with their work, meaning submitting with credit will be fine. But if they only gave you permission to publish their article on your site then a friendly email to them could be the way forward, just to get their permission.
Article submission is generally used to build backlinks or promote affiliate products, depending on the Terms of Service of the directory. The most popular site for this is www.ezinearticles.com - it's free to submit, and they rank pretty well in the search engines. Some good keyword research and a narrow niche, and you can get some really decent rankings with this method. However, they don't accept PLR, and you must own the rights to the articles you're submitting. HTH
I usually use the ff: 1. EzineArticles 2. GoArticles 3. ArticleDashboard It's better if the article is yours or if you are given the right to submit it. Hope this helps!
A problem that you could run into by submitting someone else's article is the duplicate content rule on most article submission sites. I'm pretty sure that places like EzineArticles will only allow articles that have never been posted to be submitted. It would probably be best if you could write some original articles of your own or outsource some topics to an article writer who'll let you have complete rights to them. Just make sure that you have the rights to submit whatever you're submitting at all times.
For site submission, Ezine Articles is the best. As far as submitting other people's articles, generally this is a no-no unless you own exclusive rights. And in that case the article is yours, so you're free to do what you want. However, a word of caution. Make sure you buy content off of sites where you know for a fact you have sole rights, (like Daily Article, Constant Content, etc.). Otherwise, you're buying plr content, which gives rights to anyone who buys it. And, if they've already posted the content, you'll lose your SEO advantage. That's why most Internet marketers suggest rewriting PLR articles, if you do decide to buy them.
Hmmm.. ya. i think sandivalentine hit the nail on the head... it depends on what your really trying to do, but never duplicate content, if your have the article on your site that is good enough... write an article about the article on your site and submit that to enzine or as blazinrachel said 1.EzineArticles 2. GoArticles 3. ArticleDashboard with the link to your webiste.... this way -more content with more links in it... these kind of distribution sites vary in their benefits - as will your articles... but you see what im saying about duplicate content... dont bother... just doulbe your conetnt its tricky at first but easy once u get going... peace DCx
I have submitted a few articles on ezine. However, I have not used the benefits of links in the resource box. I guess it's high time that I did so. Any feedback on the same would be appreciated.
Original articles work best, and ezines is one of the best article directories available. It is correct that they do not like content which is published elsewhere, so dup content may be an issue for you. Possibly rewrite or amend to make it look different but keep the overall theme.
I usually submit to 30 top article directories only. Submitting to more is usually not worth the time (even when I use software to automate this). Submitting to MUCH MORE directories seems to do more bad than good. I've spent a lot of time to make a list of top article directories. Here it is: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1269570
That's kind of funny because once it is published on their site it has a chance of being duplicated millions of times
