Hey everyone, Just a novice question ... is it okay to submit the same article to different article directories? I am starting up a new niche (my first one) and wondering if this is alright. Thanks, Drew
I think its alright on posting same article to different directories. But the article you are posting must be yours and not any copycat.
so should you post to 20 high PR once or just 100 what would Google think about that when they all look the same?
It is ok to post the same article to different article directories. If you are worried about duplicate content, there is a way to work around it. I presume that one of the article directories you are submitting to is EzineArticles. What you can do is submit first to EzineArticles, get it approved as the original article before submitting the same article to other article directories. The objective of doing so is to get as many backlinks as possible while allowing the original article on a high PR article directory like EzineArticles to rank well in the search engines. Kill two birds with one stone! Every article directory set up is different and the content portion is only a fraction of it. Always remember that spiders read the HTML content so the duplicate content portion is watered down, and there will always be a good portion of uniqueness at each directory.
You can submit the same article to different article directories. You can try to change the anchor texts used in the links in those articles, to get variation in the links that will point to your website.
If your worried about duplicate content try changing the title, anchor text and some of the content around before submitting each article.

Write and submit a fairly unique article including the byline to each publisher. I use artemis which makes the whole process easy...
