Submitting RSS Feeds for link building

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by Torsten, Jun 24, 2010.

I consider submitting RSS feeds for link building. Hence I have two questions concerning this:
1.) Is that a good idea (opinions)?
2.) Which sites for RSS feed submission are recommended?

I definitely recommend it but here's the thing. I recommend that you submit to one site a day, because if a bunch of links show up that link to your site all in one day, Google is going to consider your site spam. But just search RSS submission sites and you should find a good list of sites!

    Hope that helped!

OK it's recommended and some caution is adviced, which make sense to some extent (we can debate this later). So which sites would you recommend for feed submission?

Yes - submitting RSS feeds for articles, press releases and blog posts can all be helpful. Here is a list of sites you can submit your RSS feed to - http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-submission.htm .

In addition you can submit your Twitter feed and other types of bookmarking sites.

RSS Submission works two ways. Firstly it is a great way to get your information syndicated and secondly it is extremely useful to get the "mother of all" back links profile if handled properly.

RSS Submit has to be the best utility around and automatically submits to over 86 RSS Aggregators but getting more than one url loaded can be a pain. Follow the links below to find out how to import as many urls into RSS Submit as you want via a "back door".

Looks good. If they list a feed, will this also create backlinks to the mother site of the feed?

I am not sure if all the RSS feeds will turn into backlinks, but it worked on the following site:
    http://www.readablog.com/default.aspx

A couple of the other sites seem to do this as well. At least have I seen them with previous checks for backlinks.

Has anybody heard of RSS Bomber? If you google it, you will find it. I am interested in buying it but would like your thoughts on it. Will I not get banned for having a different RSS feed for every single post?

Easy traffic building task and less article posting and rewriting needed. Additionally, I would like to introduce my newest linkbuilding tool Linkvana for you to have an option to go to. I found an offer on such a software. But it seems it only generates RSS-feeds - Does it also distribute/submit them? As for the subject of the thread, submission would be the main issue here, generation would be another one. And since it seems as if this RSS-feed bombing is a bit of a a Black hat, I guess google with adapt to this kind of trick.

I'll also provide a vote of confidence in Web Traffic Genius for rss feed submission. But I wouldn't necessarily plan on getting a ton of backlinks from your submissions (at least not of any quality). More used to get content indexed quickly.

Glad I ran into this thread. One of the few things I have not tried for my website.
