Hi, I hope I'm in the correct section of DP for this.... I have 15 article pages on my website. I purchased the site ready made - so I know they are PLR articles, but I've run a check, and they are only on one other (seemingly defunct) blogsite. My question is; can I use these articles - as is - and submit each to the article submission directories, without the search engines penalising me for duplicate content? Even if the blogsite was not around, and my website content was unique to me, would I be causing myself a problem by submitting my website content as articles? Many thanks in advance for any advice on this. ves
Yes, Search engines read the articles in the article directories as duplicates and it is definitely not in your favor to submit your materials in this case. Just as mad4 said - write new pieces for the directories - you won't fear duplicate control then.
You should follow the advice you've been given here. Do not try to submit PLR articles to the big directories, they will reject them. Write informative, keyword rich, conversational articles and you'll be just fine...
Most of the better directories specifically state in their policies that PLR articles will not be accepted. The issue is duplicate content. PLR quality can also be low, which lowers the overall quality of the directories. You can either write entirely new articles for your submissions, or hire a PLR article rewriting service to rewrite the articles you have now so that they are unique.
