Where can I find the mod this site is using www.ayhu.com The mod makes you go to the category before submitting... Of course if there is a free mod I love to hear about it thanks!
oh i see i didnt know it was the script not a mod... i like that feature because it would most likely make the spammers go away and people submitting into the proper categories..
Dargre does have something to block top cats, though not free u could check this out, its worth the $$ http://www.linkforever.net/
There are better mods to stop spam, though, that do not add inconvenience for those who could be sending money.
I've just submitted 5 directories to a site and if this mod was installed it would have took quite a bit longer. I think most one-off submissions come from the category page anyway, but this could inconvenience bulk submitters, and I don't want to do that
yeah, that i second! but check out Dargre's mod, its simple its easy ... to both submitters, and dir owners,... goto his site check featured listing, and then see the additional categoryies drop down, ... u cant select the top ones! so on the submission page itself u know which ones are blocked.... no need to travel back and forth to see where u can submit! M.
msolution appreciate you like my modification to disable top categories (I use much more restrictions), however it seems this is something different that hitboy asks This is really simple to do. If there is no such modification I can do that in 10 minutes. 1. Remove submit link if this is not category page. 2. Make additional checking if Category ID is empty or 0. If so - display message - 'you must choose category first' or something like that.
i was just trying to second what syted said, moving back and forth, trying to figure what category is NOT blocked is too much to do, though its an additional functionality, and will reduce the headache while accepting/ rejecting sites. i just liked your idea to block it on the submit page itself, and i think i told u that the same day However this could be used in addition to ur mod, M.
You might ask dargre about as he has some mods not available to the general public yet (I hope can release some of them soon). I'm still waiting for his reply for a very new mod he created that has to do with each category.
