i have been using a email address i created in my cpanel and i use that email address for submitting my link directories...

i get a lot of SPAM!! letters you cant read and stuff..

should i keep submitting with that same email??

will the links still approve just as much.. i guess im asking if its a bad thing..

I started using a gmail account quite a while ago to use for free directory submissions. Many of the free directories are just set up to farm for email addresses. If the directory is set up to reject gmail accounts used for email then they were just going to spam you anyway.

Down side to that is some directories are also set up to require confirmation via an email. When free directories do this I just view it as they want a verified email address so they can spam the hell out of you and be sure that you get it.

With paid directory submissions I use a real email address which I actually monitor.

so if im using free submissions.. i should be fine?

should i just check the email after submitting.. for confirmation links? and just ignore spam..?

also.. when submitting.. you know how the first box you fill in for title?? i use 3 of my keywords for my site.. isit ok to use one keyword every 3 submissions then switch? i use a keyword and then submit to three sites.. then switch keywords for title..

    is that ok?

It's up to you. I never look at my the email account I have set up for spam. Well I guess I did a few weeks back just for fun and there was almost 40k emails in there. I typically do not concern myself with confirmation emails from free directories. Others may be different on that though.

Best to change up the description as much as possible and keywords occassionally as you are doing. Good directories will watch the content you are submitting and make alterations if it is duplicated. Good and Free don't neccessarily mean the same thing though.

change the titles and descriptions and mix the combination of titles and descriptions around also for variation

on the spam issue I also use a free mail account for submissions as there is so much spam going to them but I find its really only from a small group of webmasters/marketers who are using them to send out newsletters or promotional offers

I try to use a address, which forwards to my gmail junk acct....many directories will reject your link if they see a free or disposable email.

part of free directories will collect your emails for own spam usage or selling to someone,
it's better to choose a gmail for submission only,
you know there is no free lunch in the real world. ;)

You can just actually ignore the spam..
Or you can just erase or delete it...

You dont use your personal mail ID For directory submission. Use individual ID for directory submission, That will avoid spam mails for your inbox.

i thinks you should used another email address to submit your sites in Directory you can make your id from Gmail or Yahoo or ymail to submit your sites in Directory. i am already doing my directory submission work with my other submission id if i gets some SPAM e-mails but's it's doesn't worry's for me.
