I have a gaming site. I'm considering to sponsor a flash game to build links to my site. Is it possible? Actually, I'm not sure about that. I heard that Google can read links in flash files? And are those links dofollow? If its possible, how exactly should i post a link in the flash game? Please share your thoughts.
I wouldn't count on using a flash game to build backlinks when hosted on other websites. Instead, if you could hire a freelancer to create a new and interesting game, you could earn a lot of traffic to your site through social bookmarking sites. Alternatively, you could allow free distribution of the game on other people's sites, but include a promotion for your website as the game loads. It won't necessarily boost your page ranking, but you will gain visitors and potential repeat visitors from it.
Flash is not read by search engines (i know there was work on doing this) So a link in a flash are ussless for SEO backlinks
What iborg said is correct. I have heard about Google being able to read Flash here and there, but it would probably be best to distribute a game with links within to allow players to visit your site. If it goes live on MindJolt, there's a possibility that you could get quite a few hits (Mindjolt links to FaceBook, MySpace, and other social networking sites so the traffic is amazing).
That's great. So Google can read link in flash games. Suppose I manage to get my game to 100 game sites, Is there a way to pass on link juice (from within the flash game) from all those 100 sites back to my main site. I know i can get traffic but i'd like to get links too.
