Some people will tell you to blast to as many as you can find... Some people will tell you to stick to the top 3... There is a balance, personally I submit every article I write to about 50 (give or take a few) directories...all of which I would consider "Top Level". If it gets traffic, it's worth submitting to now isn't it...
You have to submit not only to many article directories but you also have to employ other link building methods such as directory submission, social bookmarking, PR submission, blog commenting .. to keep your link profile look natural.
I just submit to ezinearticles, goarticles and article dashboard. But 95% of the traffic always comes from ezinearticles.
EzineArticles is about the only one worth submitting to. If you have free time, submit to GoArticles, too, but don't bother with the others. At best you'll get a few links from scraper sites.
I take each article and write about 12 versions of it using jetspinner. So each article is different. I tend to post to the top 4 or 5 article sites, those mentioned above plus Idea Marketers, articlecity. More traffic certainly comes from ezine than others. I also use a blogger, wordpress and weebly site to take an article, and of course a hub page and a squidoo lens -all pointing to your main site. Socialmark about 4 different titled articles (ie dont bookmark all 12 articles) to about 40 bookmarking sites, and you should get about 120 or so links from the one article. MP
More the better!! the more sites that you can submit your articals to the more chance there is of it working
If you are going to submit the same article to multiple directories it is better to re-jig it a little so it is not the same content.
Ezine Articles is great for traffic, I'd also recommend Article Cube and Article Dashboard, these three are the ones I get most traffic from! Cheers, John.
Submit to atleast 50 sites. Choose which have higher PR. Check your backninks after sometime that kinks are following or not..
I himself submit my articles on Ezinearticles.com only. I tried some in the past, but never got any real traffic from them
I am currently the number 6 author at Ezine Articles so obviously I believe in the benefits of submitting to them, but I also submit to a number of the other top article directories. I also emply the use of numerous social bookmarking sites. The key is writing articles that will get read, which means captivating headlines and also having an attention getting resource box that gets people to go to the site you want to promote. Backlinks are crucial and the keywords you choose as your anchor text are what you will be found for in the search engines - along with the title of the article. Here are some of the stats from my Ezine Articles account: Article(s) Views:1,911,978 URL Clicks:38,106 Live Articles:2,111 If you want to know how to do it the right way see my signature> Gregg
Sort of off topic but I've been using www.submityourarticle.com for May and June (after having someone here plug the site). I only have a little bit of experience with it obviously... but I'm kind of thinking it works pretty well. As far as the ezinearticles question, I do notice a couple of things about that directory... first, it doesn't show up very high when I look at sites linking to my site... I.e., it's like they're very effective at reducing any PR juice I get from their site... Also, I do get a wee bit of traffic from ezinearticles... but not that much. About as much as you get from sig links someplace like this...
