i would like to know if i write fresh articles , post them on my site , and then i submit them to articles directories .. Will the article on my site be considered as duplicate as it will be found in many articles site ? thx
I think there's a good chance yours will be found as the duplicates, unless the search engines index them on your site first. Not sure if the search engines will penalize you for the "duplicate content" or not, but if a bunch of other article sites pick up on the same article, and the search engine starts trimming down the number of sites with the same content it shows in results, your site might not be listed. What I would do is wait a bit before submitting to the article sites, giving Google and others a chance to find the content on your site, and hopefully deem you as the original source when you do submit to the article sites.
My recommendation: 1) Keep the version of your article with the best quality for your site. make sure it is indexed asap by using Google sitemaps. 2) Make a slightly different version, with correct anchor lnk + reference to the main article on the site w/ a link. Submit to all article submission site w/ copyright notice (do this when you know G has indexed the first article for sure). This way: - you keep unique quality content for yr site - you get good links w/ the article That's the method I generally use with good results. I do not agree with what others have sometimes said: if you have a new site with no PR and no good indexing yet AND that you submit your article, you will get googlewashed. My 0.02. It has worked for me, that's all I can say. T-
You will not be penalized, but the page with the duplicate content may get filtered. Read this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=652530#post652530
I agree with Tim, there is no 'penalty' as such for duplicate content, news syndication sites are testimonials to that. At most, your article page may get 'filtered' out from the SERPs.
