Submitting an article to more than one directory

Now, i think this is the place to post this since this is about article marketing so im guessing its right.

Anyway, if you have a article and you want to submitt to article directories such as ezinearticles and then you submitt to other ones like goarticles etc.

is that allowed or will the article directories decline it, because if i use the same authour which is me of course, then surely they should allow it if they see that i am the authour of the duplicate ones.

Most article directories will accept them no problem. There are a few that don't, which also makes them better sites because they don't have so much duplicate stuff on their site. I'd really evaluate what your goal is before you just go out and put your articles all over the net. If it's for SE rankings then it probably won't help a ton because most of the dupe articles will either never get indexed, or will get booted out of the index eventually. (At least I know Google will only keep the most relevant piece in)

Yes, that's right. Duplicate articles won't help you in the G serps. Won't hurt you, but won't help. That's why so many article spinners are out there. The article directory editors that care, do a quck search to locate a dup in the serps. In most cases they don't look because they are interested in the content added to their site. In the case of ezine articles, it is just one more page they can stick Adsense on.

Hi seage212, If you send the same article to loads of directories and Ggle indexes only one - you've just wasted a lot of time and effort. Spin 'em

You must spin it, so your articles will be treated as different articles.
That will make your articles work. If no Search engine will not give you anything good.

Technically, they don't really need to be rewritten at all. One of the best things that can happen is that your write a great article, and 3000 sites pick it up and post it on their site. If there was a duplicate content issue, this wouldn't work.

Second, it depends on why you write the article. If you are going for just back links, you can submit the same article as is. All you are interested in is getting the article posted on the article directory site. You don't care if anyone reads it or not. Only EA and maybe a few others require original content.

If you are writing it for "authority", then yes, rewrite it, make it bout 750 words and only one link back.

Now, having said all that crap, what I normally do is change the title and rewrite the first paragraph and change the last. I do this so I have a chance of getting both articles to show up in google at the same time. While google clearly states there is no penalty for dupe content, they also say they will only put one article up when it finds dupes.
