    Hello,

I was just wondering if we must add a brandnew site to Google (from this link http://www.google.com/addurl/)

In SEO Made Easy book, it is not suggested, what do you guys think, should we add it or not? What happens whether we add or not?

    Thanks in advice.

It wont hurt using this method, but submitting via an .xml sitemap will be more effective.

http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ use this tool, then submit the sitemap via the google webmaster tools.

    Hey there,

    I agree with WPOSolutions.

I submitted an XML sitemap for my client's website and we got hundreds of pages indexed within a week.

    Good luck with your site.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

    Thanks..

I have one more question. I made an XML sitemap that includes 100.000 links. How should I submit this? Does it hurt to have 100.000 links in one sitemap file, or should I separate them? (let's say 10.000 links for each xml sitemap files and submit them as sitemap1.xml sitemap2.xml and so)

Yeah get a sitemap up in Webmaster tools and then try and get a link from a website with a fairly decent PR.

Another option is to add "Google custom search" to your site to entice the spider to crawl your site so it can generate results. I am not sure how effective this last point is but every little helps huh?

Also about your sitemap, have you tired Gsite crawler? Its a sitemap generator for windows and i believe that it splits up sitemaps into multiple parts if it feels they are too big.

You can only have 50,000 URLs in a single sitemap. To create multiple sitemaps, you need a sitemap index file.

Google talks about all that here: Sitemap Files

    Hope that helps.

No need to add your site to Google, but it wouldn't hurt.
Google will eventually index your site and add it to their search engine!
Letting them naturally index your site will probably be quicker than waiting for your submittion form to be accpeted!

I've had much better (faster) luck with linking to a brand new page from an already indexed page. I actually tested it. The pages I linked to were indexed in a day, while the ones I manually added took 2 weeks or more.

Agreed. But if dioper has 100,000+ URLs that need to be indexed, deep linking may not be any quicker (although I hope an internal linking system is already in place).

if you submit from there, that may take a long time to be indexed.

the best way is finding some backlinks and waiting .

    google will find you
