Submitted Urls stopped updating.Why?

    My sitemap has been working perfectly with my submitted urls corresponding with the number of posts i have in my blog and Urls in web index increasing very fast.I submitted a sitemap for 1000 posts.but when i made up to 883 posts,my submitted Urls stopped updating in webmaster tools.i have 1039 posts now and i added a sitemap for 1500 post.Why is WMT not updating my URLS?has google stopped indexing my post.Please help!!

    A single sitemap can contain only 500 urls so for adding more then 500 urls u need to create multiple sitemaps then add them together. check this out may be this is a reason for your site.

    No this is Wrong! Google allowed maximum of 50,000 URL's or 10MB File Size!!!

    Remove and resubmit your sitemap. This worked for me when I had a similar issue.

    its working now after removing and re-adding it again.but it doesn't synchronize automatically wt d number of posts i have.
    Unless i resubmit.Anyways tanks guys for the help so far

    False, Google doesn't have a limit of maximum file size for a page.

    Every month Create sitemap and submit or at least resubmit, it works fine.

    Strange thing for the sitemap to stop updating just like that. Please tell us if your problem is solved and also mention the solution. I have a site with only 100 pages and when I encountered this problem then deleting and resubmitting always worked for me.
