Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ First detected: 7/8/18 Status: Error It says 70 affected pages. None of them are my actual posts or pages, but are Wordpress tags, categories, and pages such as: https://wehearthandmadeboots.com/2020/01/ which is a category page that the limit of posts might be set to say 5 and then there is a "See More" button at the bottom of the page so it would go to /02/ /03/ etc... Is this hurting my site and should if so, what should I fix? My rankings aren't really going up and they kind of suck. Thanks, Thomas
P.S. I know how to fix it and change the NoIndex settings, I'm just wondering if I should or not? Also, if you see anything else on my site to fix, that would be greatly appreciated!
Tag and Category pages are a good way to link to other more useful pages like posts, so you should fix the noindex setting for these.
Some don't seem to be tags or categories. I uploaded a .jpg. Any idea why these aren't being indexed?
I think I figured out what that was (paginated pages/posts). I ended up unchecking the following 2 also: Use noindex for paginated pages/posts and Use nofollow for paginated pages/post
I don't use wordpress my friend, so am not sure what that thing does, but looks like you already did the changes to remove the noindex. Good Luck
Hi everyone, I got the same problem with noindex error on google search console and it has affected the following pages: I have tried to fix these a few months ago but they still show up as affected pages. However, it shows validation passed. Please check the screen shot: What are you suggesting? I really want to get this fixed as it has adversely affected my search results. By the way, I used wordpress to build this site. Thank you in advance.
I am also facing this type of issue, some of my pages, tags and categories are shown as noindex tag. Is this a problem of the theme which i applied on my website? any expert who suggests. Thanks in advance.
