Just submit to all strong directories owned by dp members. I still have a few to submit to, but so far it has been very, very helpful.
This list helped me a lot: http://www.avivadirectory.com/strongest-directories/
I started with aviva, gii, romow, 2yi and hundreds of free directories. Since then I spent hundreds on submissions.
Make sure to always ask these guys any questions, if you have, before you submit. They are all very helpful.
I'm waiting for aproval in apahcinc.org for a featured now. I think it's owned by the same guy who owns aviva.
Good luck and set a monthly budget for dir submissions, because this can get out of hand! :D
