So the other day I was experimenting with one of my blogs, and decided i'd try to submit a sitemap to google using one of the wp-sitemap plugins... a few hours later I had about 30 pages deindexed.... 3 days later I have about 300 pages less then before the sitemap, AND i've been steadily adding 10+ posts per day!!

    WTF?

anyone have any insight on this? My thoughts are, some of the content is RSS, and the pages are being posted on my site using the same url sequence as the other sites with the same post title.... Maybe the sitemap it giving google a better insight on my Dupe Content?

that's tragedy dude...are you sure that you haven't done any thing that might cause your pages being deindexed? in most cases that I know, there is just two possible reasons for being deindexed, first is SERP is just updating and certain sites fluctuates or deindexed but will eventually return. Second is being penalized or banned for certain reasons like violating the guidelines of google...

Ouch, I really don't think the sitemap submission had anything to do with it, just a coincedence if you ask me. Which URL in your signature is your blog? I'll take a look and see if anything stands out that might of caused this.
