Submitted my site to http://sbd.bcentral.com/

Yesterday i tried to submit my site to http://sbd.bcentral.com/ 49$/year. I was amazed how advanced MSN spidering and untispam system is. Before submitting it to directory. MSN had to crawl all of my pages of entire site. Then i chose the urls thich needed to be submitted. Up to 10. I was imased how well their spiders work. It showed me not only that my site had spam, but also that i wasn't optimized properly. I had to take out all my HIDDEN h1, h2, h3, h4s. Spammy Alt Tags. Keywords in description tag, becuase i had more then 3 commas in it. WOW i am impressed. From now on i don't use any of these "spam" techniques

By the way, how is it important to be listed in their directory?

 

is this worth the money ? .... any visitors yet ?

hmm why exactly ? do you get any visitors or is your site better positioned in SE or..... ? Guess it depends on your site topic too .... guess business sites get visitors but some social science sites guess not as much since it is business directory ?

Why do we submit our sites to directories?

 

I am trying to submit but it says error 2002 we cannot fulfil your request. Its been the same for hours.

Today I also bought a Yahoo directory link for $299 and a business.com one for $199.

 

49$ can be much and maybe not much, it depends on your budget. But for a 14 year old like me, you don't get that 49$ easily. So, I believe all these services could be found on the internet, yes probably separate but could be found. Or you might aswell just take a look at things by urself. Cheers .

Oh and don't worry it's not like you wasted 49$ maybe just 20 or 10 . LOL just kidding.

 

This must be a waste of money. Some people think paid directories are useless.

 

Well sure we submit to directories but those are not delivering traffic directly. So I see that benefit from MS directory is only in more traffic because backlink from good directory you can get for less and there are less links in specific category than in MS one. And then I just thought would I even get good amount visitors to my history site from business directory ?

Can not expect many visitors from there. www.joeant.com is a nice paid directory (can expect some referrals)

 

FYI - It wont mean an increase in MSN bots or increase in traffic via msn search.

 

Well I bought them to increase trustrank. Its impossible to say if this works or not but it will be interesting to see.
