I have a site which offers a test of an automotive product. The site is amateurish and has been up for less than a year. There are no ads whatsoever on the site. I hosted the site to learn some html and test some basic SEO stuff.

A while back I optimized the html for SEO. I then sort of forgot about the site and moved on. Last week I remembered the site and, as sort of a test, I posted mini-reviews, or comments in several forums and included the URL of the site.

A few days later I was shocked to discover that I was in 2nd place on Google SERP for the keywords of my site (and also the title tag) out of 4mil. I also noted that a few of my posts (with my URL in the Google preview sentence of the results) were on the first page for a few variations of my key words.

Needless to say, I was pleased. Wanting to better my results and saturation, yesterday I resubmitted my URL to several search engines, including Google.

I was dismayed to find that today my site and the three or four posts are missing from the SERPs. I know that Google makes changes constantly but what I am wondering is if my resubmittal of the URL somehow caused my site to disappear from the SERPs.

    Any comments on this?

extremely improbable that it was caused by resubmittal
