Im paying a guy here on DP to submit one of my sites to 500 directories, has anyone used a service like this before and did it acutally help? they are all supposed to be PR4+ directories. i really doubt that it will get me 500 back links, but maybe a few hundred right?

Dunno about a few hundred, maybe 10 or 20 will stick, but I'm assuming you didn't pay a lot for this anyway.

Basically use directory submissions to spread the backlinks you are getting. So 500 directory submissions, 50 contextual links, 50 reciprocals, a few blog comments, few forum posts etc.

Thats what I've found works the best, then your not putting all of your eggs in one basket

l am also thinking to submit all mysites. but l am also thinking some other things.
cant l submit myself with a free/trial semi automiatic softwares. Non of the directory submitter quarantee %75 approval of their 500 submissions. so it will be helpfull for me if l get %30 approval rate? l dont think so. than why should l pay 100's of money for a person who will submit manually if l get the same rates?
Well l still think the best is ur own submisions.

it worths but i think there is general rules on link building.

"what you pay you get it"

it's very difficult to have good serp results with free directories

Same here, yesterday I payed somebody to submit 6 of my sites to 1000 directories. And today I've bought a few more packages from other users.

I'm sure it will help to some extent. How much though I can't say.

Depending on how deep your site is listed and if your link is found by the search engines then yes.

This will also depend on whether the submissions are guaranteed entry to all 500 directories!

Most of the large directory submissions like that are not guaranteed and you have to watch out because it will say directory and link sites in there post. Those link sites are nothing more then FFA spam crap. Yes it will put your link on more sites, however the link will fall off and really is of no true value as a relevant link. You do get what you pay for, I would go for the higher PR directories and pay for some of the big boys and there yearly fee.

it might help but it takes time...as if you let that person submit to directories for free it will take about a month or so before your site be there...

i submit to directories everyday from the new directories being announce here on dp. usually, in my experience, msn would first to rank your site on the top 10 then yahoo but google takes more time.

Do they provide the list of 500 directories?..before or after the payment..
If you know some of those the web sites listed on those directories, you can check their link backs to figure out if they really work.

Please share with us the out come of this service..

    Thanks
