or you could use the article distribution service at http://www.articletrader.com/ which distributes your articles to a bunch of directories

To many different article sites it's not easy to get your article posted in a high quality one.

To as many directories as possible. You should slightly change the content of your article to avoid posting a lot of duplicate content.

 

If you want to increase page rank of your site, you need to an article to hundreds of article directories in order to gain hundreds or even thousands of backlinks.

If you want to directly grab top ranking at search engines by using an article directory for keyword which you target, you may submit an article to 10 top article directories. One of them will achieve the top ranking.

 

Submitting the same content in hundreds of article directories will lessen the effect and the link weightage will also be very less...
If you really want to submit your article in more than one directory than modify your content and title for each directory.

Submit your article to as many directories as possible. If you can, you should vary the content and vary the resource box.

 

I prefer to submit articles to many directories. The amount of links matters.

 

ok to add to this, I agree with slightly changing the content so you dont have too many duplicates, but then what about the people who download and add your article to their site?
I dont think there is anyway to really avoid duplication.

 

I have built a substantial list of article directories in which I submit my articles to, I make sure to spin my articles so they are about 30% different than each other that way it doesnt come across as a major amount of duplication on the web.

 

You hit it right on the head.... the purpose of article marketing is to get people to pick up your article for their site, and exponentially increase your backlinks... they aren't going to change your article one bit (well they shouldnt) ... so that's a lot of duplicate content, but let them worry about the duplicate content penalty... will it hurt you a little? Maybe, but if you continue getting tons of backlinks from a well written article, then all is good!

In my opinion submitting to ezine is the best way to get traffic. Ezine website get a lot of exposure and will definitely bring in backlinks and traffic to yoursite. For me I would submit to the top directories.
