Submit your website for free to hundreds of search engines - updated link

Awhile back we wrote a blog post that drove thousands of people to the website each month that gave them a list of hundreds of smaller search engines that you can manually submit your website to. I'm surprised this stuff still exists. Can you tell me what is the point in submitting your site in a hundred "search engines", what ever that might be?

I tried this but majority of links needs to be updated.

 

I think another service also does this, it is called Entireweb.com. Does not submit your site to hundreds, just 15 of the most commonplace ones. In my opinion, that is enough. You can also upgrade for $9/mo for automatic re-submissions, although it is not very important in my opinion (might even appear spammy).

 

Most of these so called free search engines are crap they get your email and start sending spam.You will heardly get any visitors from them.They are not counted as backlinks either

 

Can you name a hundred search engines?

I agree with @haier. I did some research on this and found out these search engines tend to get information from Google mostly and some of these search engines try Bing or Yahoo feeds. So I will not bother to include my site details in these "small" search engines.

A hundred search engines that you stated above is just like hundreds of low quality sites. Not advisable and too risky to use.

 

I will try it later, i do manage my site and write content
