Do you have a killer marketing strategy or tactic? Do you have a strategy
for finding out niche markets, increasing adwords profits, joint ventures,
increasing adsense revenue, using email marketing, using blogs & RSS,
promoting or creating affiliate programs, getting traffic from SEO?

List your top 2 or 3 marketing strategies, tricks, or tactics on any
subject. I always seem to learn a whole lot from these kind of posts.

    1. Strategy for SEO - How to get indexed quickly - This is a twist on
an old strategy blog & ping. Blog & ping still works but it's now slower for new sites.

Find a high PR site related to your keyword or market and comment
on the post (make it relevant, not spam) with a link back to
your site. Then ping that blog instead of yours. Make sure the site
    doesn't employ the nofollow tag.

    2. Strategy for conversion - Monetize this! - Are you writing
content and build pages made for adsense or even *gulp* using
page generated software so you can get people to click on your site?

What if you can get $1 instead of .10 cents per click or $5 instead
of $1 per click? Well, you can...

How about running a newsletter and getting your visitors to subscribe
FIRST. Then provide quality content through an email newsletter.
This way the visitor will go to your site more than once and click
multiple times throughout his lifetime. You can also mix in affiliate
offers through email for more profits.

    3. Strategy for SEO - Forget about swapping links, do this... -
Are you swapping links to get higher on the SERPS? Fuggghet about it.
Why do you want to be listed on some lame "resources", "related sites",
or "link" page and compete with 3000 other links on the same page?

What if you can get the exact link back to your page, with the exact
anchor text under a page optimized for the exact keyword you want
and STILL be the only outbound link on the page?

The more outbound links on the page the less weight it carries but
you can be the only one there. How? SWAP ARTICLES.

Ask the webmaster to upload your content on their website and you'll
do the same for them. Make sure your article is unique and get the
webmaster to link to your optimized article from the main page or site
map. Do the same for the webmaster. Double benefit - you also
    get more content.

    4. More Money, Branding and Authority - Cross pollination gone wild -

Cross pollinate your content. Mix it up a bit. Write a newsletter
and tell people to discuss your latest newsletter in the forum. Update
your list and tell them to read a special article posted on the forum.
Tell people to visit your blog for something newsworthy.

To get over the hurdle of getting people to register for the forum,
give them a free gift for doing so (tell them through your newsletter).

Also create ways for each of your mediums to be reached from other
mediums. Have an option for people to subscribe to your newsletter
from your blog, have a link to your forum from your blog, link to
your blog from your forum etc.

This gives a way for people to consume the content the way they
want it. Some people are not so fond of email, others use RSS
readers to subscribe to blogs, and many people love to discuss in
forums since they're constantly being told.

It also stretches your findability, community, authority and branding
of your site. Thus, people are more likely to stick around and click
on your adsense, buy your recommended aff offers, and spread the
    word at the same time.
