BTW, I think have you seen directory templates sponsored by "alive" and "aviva" directory... So, whats wrong if I sponsor a template, release it for free and point out unpaid link removal violations ?

@agnivo, you can't talk about link removal if the link pointing to the template designer is there. what if the designer decides to add all his friend's network?
we add them all? anyhow, as I said, third link added, but that's greed. I should read more about this multiple linkbacks issue as I'm not really too much into directories.

and funny enough, agnivo submitted his sites to the directory.

 

I saw the same theme in many directories, will be letting know when i see that in any other dir.

1. Looks like legend2 prefers PM now... Patriotism holds good when there's some valid point. None would support one who is incorrect... So, dont try to make sizzler's comment a patriotic issue...LOL

2. I'd advise you to learn more about the directory business and template usage ethics, then stand ground.

Whenever a good template is released for free, there are many costs involved. I have to pay the designer hundereds of dollars. The designer or myself cant sell it...cause its free.

So, how do we both benifit by giving away a free template ? It's the "designed by" and "sponsored by" links from the footers of directories using them. This is what we expect from users...and intentionally removing them makes us think if we would release any free template in the future or not. If you say that its pure "greed", then its really unfortunate!

We have also kept an option for directory owners wanting to remove the 2 links. There's a readme file bundled with all details.

3. Why shouldn't I submit my sites to your directory ? Its open for one and all... So no question of hiding even if there's an issue with the owner.

Agnivo, I pmed you asking you to utter your words in a more respectful way, and out of good faith, I pmed you a link to the directory that was using this template and that kept 2 out of the 3 instead of all 3, and which made me think the third link is not mendatory. But apparently you'll keep trying to discuss this over and over. That is not going to make you famous or something you know. End of story, not worth discussing anymore.
Oh and stop LOL'ing, doesn't suit the character you're trying to show.

Hi, I submited my sites, too. Just a Suggesation, You have a Title for adsense ads which says related links which is Against TOS.
Better change it to Advertisers or Sponsor's.
