    It's not a pop up, it is one of the vbulletin plugin, if you read it, you'll se it is just asking user to register at the forum. I'm in the process to remove that annoying sound.

    OK. Well, any kind of popup--plugin or not--is not a good idea for a directory, IMHO. I think u should get rid of the plugin altogether.
