Submitted a link, and will do more. This is the best idea I have seen in awhile for a directory. May the serps, traffic and $ be with you.

 

Thanks guys. If spam gets a problem then we will deal with it as it comes. we are not asking for reciprocals, as we are sure people will spread the word out there on forums , blogs etc so we will pick up some nice natural backlinks. I would imagine it will start getting spidered within a few weeks at most, and we can then see how it runs.

As we said, we are not charging as yet, but we might charge silly money at a later date, maybe a few pennies. As far as spam goes, provided the pages are genuine, and of the right quality, then it probably isn't spam. 100 different mortage pages from 100 different sites is not spam, it is just an on topic set of mortgage links If the cat becomes to populated, then we will split it and make it more focused. YEp a lot of work LOL.

Quick word of advice guys. When your submitting, to differenet categories, use a different site description. I know you might think this a PITA, but trust me on this, it is for your own good.

I your SITE description is :~
The clock shop, supplier of clocks for every home type including wall mantle glass novelty clocks.

But your submitting to 10 categories, dopnt use this description for them all as you are devaluing your link. Do this

Submitting to say wedding gifts and ideas.

description should be :~
Give the gift of time to the bride and groom. We have a selection of clocks from traditional clocks to whacky timepieces. Make the Happy Couple smile as you get them to the church on time.

I know this is more work, but the text on the page is going to be unique, on topic, and surrounding your link. Cmon, put some though into it and REALLY make those links worthwhile. Milk the Link LOL

Just suggested a new cat and I have some sub cats to go in that one.

 

Submitted a link and will probably write up a quick blog entry about the directory. This is something that many have been waiting for a long time - I hope it works out!
