    I don't exactly get what you are trying to imply here. No one paid me for any advertising for anything, this list was comprised from personal research. The directories owners on this list spend countless amount of hours making their directories better by advertising, link building, etc. Inevitably, there is no way I can remember every up and coming directory. I'm sure I missed plenty of great directories but I'm only human!

    Of course those are great directories, but I happen to think most people know about them already.

    Owner Promotion, Editorial Integrity, Design, and Other factors that make these directories unique (Some consider PR, pages indexed, and backlinks a very big plus to these directories).

    LinkForever.net from the list still accepts free listings. but it must be really nice website. both in content and layout...
    Anyway everyday I accept few or more free listings.
