    Hi!

I have tried many times to submit my website to the Dmoz but why they do not publish my website? Do you know the reason or any way to submit to this directory successfully?

Thank you in advance for your kind help!

    I think I know why ...
You cannot even post this thread in the good damn category, not to speak about a wrong placed submission.

No need to be rude with him, he made a minor mistake and consider there could be someone here able to give him a useful answer.

When you can switch good into god then you can criticise. ;)

not to spoke would be = not to speak

See how easy it is to be rude? :)

Yes, it is very easy to be bad but really difficult to be good!
You can easily break someone's heart but you have never made someone happy. The difference between "human being" and "being" is the word "human"

I also saw the description of this forum branch is:

"Directories (such as DMOZ/ODP, Google Directory, Yahoo Directory, etc.) can be discussed here. This is only for sites that are only directories, not sites that have a directory somewhere within them."

That's why I asked here. I am sorry if I am wrong but I am not too bad to be treated like this!!!!

    Thanks!

albertvn, there is a sub forum for DMOZ related issues but not to worry.

With regards to your question, just submit once and then forget about it. If you keep submitting it just resets your original submission and puts you to the back of the queue.

There are no tricks to getting listed, it is just a case of patience. Some get lucky and are listed in months, others wait years.

Stressing over it just isn't worth it.

Aolbert - if it's the site in your sig; did you submit it to the related Regional category? Or just a topical category?

Regional submissions seem to get review much quicker (on average) than those to the topical categories.

If you haven't, I would and then move on to other options for promoting your site. As mentioned, it's not worth the aggravation worrying about or waiting for your submission to be reviewed.

    You answered your own question:
Every time you submitted, you just overwrote the previous submission with the new date! If the editor sorts by date (most do), you just keep moving your site down! There is NEVER a need to submit more than once.

also, even though it is helpful to submit to the correct category, an editor will move it to the correct category for another editor to review if the first editor does not have permission to edit in both categories. It usually just adds another step.

Just go to the category most relevant to your site and click on "Suggest URL" -- did you do that? What happened?

HOWEVER, don't waste your's or an editors time by suggesting the site in your signature - its not listable.

I hearr in most cases it can take up to six months. By the way, did you check to see if your section has an editor? If it doesn't, that could be the source of the problem

How is not having a named editor for the category a problem?
