    Take that $10 and put it towards paying for some copywriting and proofreading. That also goes for the descriptions you submit to directories. Get someone competent to write objective and non-spammy descriptions for you, and you'll find it easier to get directory links.

    However, if you're talking about the website I think you are, remember that Dmoz won't list anything with "coming soon" plastered all over it, and nor will any reputable directory.
