I just browsed throw directory new PR list. And was surprised how many crappy directories of this list politely ask you to pay for:

• featured link $1,000,000
• regular link $1,000
• reciprocal one $100

Those are the prices for super-rich people who can waste their money.

 

Of course, these prices are a little bit of sarcasm.
But I hardly believe that paying $20 for a listing in a plain directory of thousands similar will return back to you, even in long term.
