When you write an article. Do you... 1) Post on your blog/website - then submit to directories (with backlink) or 2) Submit to directories (with backlink) without posting on blog/website So which is better? Any opinions on this? Thanks. Also, how many directories should i submit my article to, and i want to avoid duplicate content penalty.
1. Submit to directories (Good ones, like ezine, goarticles, articlebase, promotionworld). Then you can post the same on your blog too. There is no issue in submitting same article to multiple directories as long as you post them under same name. You can also, get the same article re-written and post on your blog. To avoid duplicate content penalty. Cheers!
Doesn't matter how many places you submit your article...each one will give you a back link through your resource box. Don't have the exact same article on your own site that was submitted to other places. Why? Because, if you just read an article that interested you to click through to the site, and you then see the same article again, what would you think? Use the submitted article to release some teaser information so that they come to your site to get MORE information.
Nice thought.. However, one can have same article on blog. I wouldn't advise to have the same article on website (that was linked back from article). Of course, not a good idea to show same article if the visitor tried clicking and looking for more. Like I've many blogs and they carry same articles that I got submitted in ezines. These blogs are not linked anywhere though. Your insight appreciated
You should always first submit the article to your own blog and then wait for it to be indexed by search engine before you submit to article directories. Another thing is that try to reserve the best article for your own blog.
I think submitting article in your blog is good, blog posts get indexed fast and it has other SEO benefit.
