Lets says Google likes you so much and is thus asking your suggestions for its new year resolution. Submit it here. Here is my submission: Don't be inconsistent with PR penalization. Some paid blogging got pr cut down to 0, while others are still enjoying high pr. JohnChow is one example, his pr is 4 and almost all of his postings are paid reviews.
Get rid of MFA Get rid of arbitrage Get rid of pagerank Prune database from scam/obsolete/inaccurate Stop sending useles canned email reply Each site that want to show adsense must be approved (not just only one 1 and 3000 crappy sites on the same account) Minimum bid in adwords 10 cents. Adsense tracking in analytics (who ckicked what) Filter ads by keywords, wildcards and increase filter up to 1000 competitive ads. Fire Matt Cutts. :-D
I agree above all with two of the above: this is for both google search and adsense, where it should be possible to speak to a real person and (I added toolbar for clarity) removing this would solve a lot of the problems with bought and sold links and link exchanges in one stroke Following recent deindexing problems, proxy site problems etc I'd also like us to be able to say in google webmasters when a link to our sites shouldn't count - there are bad neighbourhoods linking to me that I can't do anything about and i'm concerned they drag down my trust rank etc
A legitimate link exchange would be, you go to a page, you think it's good and relevant to your site, so you ask for a link exchange, no matter how high is the PR. Easy, Uh?
