If your wondering about submitting articles I would check out ezinearticles.com first (though there are quite few other good sites). Basically you write an article related to you business, sign up at a article directory then submit you article. Once approved others website owners may use it. You get a link back to your site from the directory and from the site of those who use it.

If you only want to reach more customers why not try classified ads list craigslist.com? You could also list your business in business directories
You can do this at many way. Join some business trade expo and close some deal with major company. Setup a website so that your business can be reach by international company thus increase the visibility of your business. Submit your business to yellow pages and online directory.
