Submit comments on blog is good for SEO

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by jennypretty, Dec 6, 2009.

I heard many webmasters saying that submitting comments on blogs is good for SEO. They said because each blog will give us one unique link back (of course if our comments get approved).

They also said that instead of putting our names on the name box, put the link title.

Any idea and/or suggestion is appreciated.

    Thanks for reading.

They are useful but only if your comments are interesting. If you just comment "Good article, visit my site..." They wont aprove it.

Try to add valuable content for the article and follow the discussion.

I don't know how much for SEO it helps aside from the backlink, but the quality there is the text. So whatever you input for your "name" as commonly labeled on Wordpress blogs, that's what the text will say that's linking back to your website, so you have to be careful about what you name your backlinks as those will be the keywords used for SEO.

When you comment try to make it to the topic and interesting so that readers read your comment. and with your comment put your link and web name to make it work.

Yes, you can get one-way link from blog comments. But make sure your comment is related to the topic so that the blog owner will approved your comment.

Yes, I has SEO value. Blog commenting will give you backlinks and traffic too.

But all depends upon the comment you made - that should be well enough to ask the reader to visit your website.

why people tell you to use keyword as name becuase when a visitor uses google search, they type the keywords and not a direct link. also, keywords are matching phrases that search engine tend to find each time a search is triggerd.

and for blog comments, if you push too many comments too quickly, you're in serious trouble.
Also, re-commenting again on same blog doesn't help as you only gain 1 backlink.

    BUT

re-commenting helps in sending manual traffic when users click on your name associated with the blog comment. its more targetted traffic (some say) Like digitalpoint, where you click on reputed users name to see their bio data and even their signature links or blog posts.. this is in-direct traffic (that doesn't guarantee anything but a visit)

    I hope it helps..

I fear that sounds like "Hey webmaster, I'm signing in with my keywords as my name, is that ok with you or is it too blatantly advertising?"
or am I misunderstanding what you mean?

I tried using the keywords as the name when commenting on other relevant blogs but I can't see any noticeable improvement. Maybe it just help siphon some traffic if the blog you're leaving the comment is highly popular.

Submit comments on blog is always good for SEO. But make sure comment should be appropriate to the topic otherwise it will be spammed.

Yes blog comments do help for SEO. Instead of your name, when possibly using your keywords(referred to as anchor text) makes a lot of sense as well.

Look for blogs with the top commentator widget to get free backlinks.

Making your name a keyword instead of a real name is good in SEO but think of this do you think you will have a high ratio of acceptance?
