Hi Many forums have many suggestions when it comes to submitting to directories and I was surprised to see many people state that they only use their main keyword as anchor text, they do not change it. Therefore I would like to get others options, as I always change my anchor text on a regular basis. 1. How many different Titles do you have? 2. How many different descriptions do you have? 3. How different is each description, totally different or do you just change or add one or two words? 4. Most importantly, how often do you change your anchor text, some say every 20 submissions, some say every 200? The reason I ask is my niche isn't a huge one, compaired to some (380,000) for my main keywords and while it would be great to rank top for every keyword or phrase I am only really concerned with one key phrase. Just curious to see how others do it. Thanks for any imput Dee
Check the guidelines, because every directory expects something different. A few will insist on just the official site name. However even here you may have some latitude: for instance Example Site, or Example Site Inc/ Example Site Ltd. I usually go for 6 different descriptions and titles, mixed up and rotated. There are only so many ways you can say "This site does XYZ. It features ABC." Mix it up as much as you can manage, though. If you're only changing it every 200 submissions, however, then that's too infrequent and you are probably submitting to too many low-quality directories. Keep your submissions relevant and focused, and you'll waste less time.
greater the number of descriptions the better it is, anchor text should be based on your keywords also try to include keywords in the description
Answers: 1. From between 8 up to even 50 different titles. 2. Change after between 40 - 60 submissions. 3. Totally different, brand new written description when i do write a new one. 4. I have the titles listed in informenter and randomly pick and choose as i submit.
