The url submission is missing, and the msnbot simply does not spider some of my sites despite visiting and getting the home page. Any ideas? I have sitemap, html checked etc the code. Is live simply broken and they are trying to fix it?
Live is a pain in the butt... Are your pages/sitemaps using compression? Live does not handle compressed pages very well. Is your sitemap an XML file? If so, do you reference this in your robots.txt? see below... User-agent: * Sitemap: http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml Do you have plenty of backlinks going to your sites? Live is supposed to release some sort of webmaster tools soon. Hopefully this will help everyone better understand why Live sucks so bad...
Compression - yes, but live happily indexes other sites OK which also use compression. robots.txt points to the sitemap yes but the problem is not interpretation of it, it's that msnbot simply doesn't come calling. And yes, there are backlinks
What's the URL? I know Live has been experiencing problems lately. If I am not mistaken, their add url has been down for a few weeks. Are your backlinks visible on some high traffic sites? One post at craigslist.org (san fransisco) gets all the bots to visit any site I've listed there.
