Hey guys, I have a question, I am fairly new to this computer world. So when you submit a site to a SE, like google, do you submit your site, or only pages from your site. For example, do you only submit www.mysite.com or do you also submit www.mysite.com/page1 and then www.mysite.com/page2 Where every page in my site is a specific article since I have a blog. So how do you guys do it? Thanks in advance. Ed
Submission of home page is sufficient all other pages will be crawled/indexed by search engines and u even don't want submitting ur site as google, yahoo and msn will automatically index ur site without submission. yeah you may submit your site to other directories and search engines.
Ed, If you would ad your URL(s) to your DP signature the crawlers will show up in a few days. I launched the site in my sigs last month and within a day of adding them to my sig the G/Y/M bots started crawling the specific urls. Good luck! -jay
The crawlers are very active in the DP forum and it has a lot of link juice. The the odds much greater that they will visit one of the pages that you've posted to here sooner than they will process the urls from their submissions page.
In addition to submitting your homepage, also submit your sitemap Agreed about the signature link...DP is crawled frequently.
Ok, so do I just put the link to my sites like you have on your signatures and thats it? How many posts do you need to have before you can add signatures? Also, I have a blog from blogger, how can we create a sitemap? Sorry if this are kind of dummie questions.. Ed
Add sigs here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/profile.php?do=editsignature Not sure about blogger site maps but I'm sure someone at DP does. .
