Hi I read here than many people use automatic submission to submit to 100's or even 1000's or directories all in one go. First off I will not be doing that, I prefer to do it manually. But the question I have is, if you are supposed to vary your anchor text regularly, how come a lot of these auto submission only allow one title, and yet people say they have worked great for them Surely if you submit to 2000 directories all with the title " Storage Heaters", google would see that as spam, please correct me if I'm wrong. The only reason I ask is I am working my butt off to try and come up with different titles and descriptions, for every few submissions, maybe I don't need to do it that often? Thanks Dee
Actually those who said they experiened good results with auto submission I m not sure what they considered good results- in terms of links or ranking improvement. The niche is highly important factor to consider to judge the impact on SEPRs from automatic or any link building campaign. Its not impossible to get good result if the competion is not mentionable. All experienced SEO advice if you want to do directory submission, do it manually. If you build link , alter your keywords after some link say ( 10-20 etc).
Hi, well as I said I have no intention of doing it this way, I have always done it manually. So change title and description after 10-20 is that what you guys do? If so I'm making it harder for myself, doing it every couple of links or sometimes even trying to mae every one different in some way? Dee
Ya its booring job . If you want to do it yourself , its better you do say 50 submissions a day. btw alterting title description for every 10-20 submissions means you can have say 5 titles and descriptions ( or more if you have more keywords ) so you can alter them
Hi yep VERY boring I currently have 10 different titles and descriptions. You say 50 submissions a day, some say with a newish site that you should do only a few submissions a day, but I think that as directories all approve links at a different rate this should be fine? Do you think 50-100 per day is too many?, for a site a couple of months old. Thanks Dee
50-100 submissions per day is not too many. And you can use 10 titles and descriptions for 2000 submissions without any red flags.
No problem at all . Even if you submit today , many will review after a long period. I said to go with 50 submissions to make it easy for you. If you can go with as many as possible
Hi, thanks for clearing that up I have one more question, if someone who specalises in SEO would kindly allow me to PM them that would be much appreciated Thanks Dee
Why you need that? If you have any question you better post on the forum. You will get helps from more than one experts
I rotate based on what I am trying to rank for more so than using a particular number. You also have to ensure that you are staying within each directory's terms of service - some require the link/title to be the site title. I watch my site logs and if I see traffic and my placement go down, I hit that phrase a little harder in my next round of submissions.
