I have found several intriguing software products for offsite-seo, which is basically tools für semi-automatic search engine and directory submission. Specifically, on tool is http://www.acebit.com and costs ~100$, and the other tool is http://www.directorydominator.com which promises to help me submitting my site to 1000+ directories (like DMOZ I assume). What do you think about such software tools in general? Are there any risks of Google actually lowering my rank? What do you think about these two software products? Any experiences with it?
I've never used those two programs before but I would never use any program of that sort in the future. I've used a similar program that submits my site to directories and for some reason, I have a bad ranking. Other sites I didn't use the program with are doing much better.
In the beginning I used WebCEO because I didn't know anything about SEO. I thought that it will make everything automated. But later I decided to submit my website into directories manually and after a couple of months of work the results came. People are lazy, so they want everything to be automated... but it sucks usually. No SEO activity can be 100% automated.
