Is there a web directory submission software that stands above the rest?

There are many directory submission software available. But it's better not to use any of them to do the directory submission as these tools can be very unreliable, it saves time though. Manual submission is better, however, every directory should be visited and submission of website or service should be done manually over and over again. The advantages of manual submission is that the directory entries will be of much higher quality and will have a greater result of being accepted and indexed. The disadvantage of manual submission is that it is very tiresome. I prefer manual submission to automatic submission as I have control over what I do...

100% agree with affgem, Although submission software is quicker it is definitely not better for you in the long run, manual submission always will be better then automatic submission software.

Submission software doesn't necessary mean "fully automatic and imprecise submission".
That said, digiXMAS Directory Submitter is a great software for FAST MANUAL submission.

Can affgem and jobuntu please explain how is digiXMAS Directory Submitter (submission software) "very unreliable" and how is "manual submission" - "better" and "of much higher quality"?

I guess the better question would be what would the most efficient method of website submission, tool or site that would be best?

Website Submitter hits up around 4000 directories (you have to do it manually) but no idea how often these things update to cover the plethora of new directories popping up.

I think submission software is no problem but with can detect :
    - can place proper directory
    - can break captcha
    - can run on cron job
    - can input more directory
(oh it's my submission software dream)

I am sure directory owners are glad nothing that advanced is available for purchase as of yet lol.

    Personally I use http://directorysubmitter.com/ 's software.

They have its flaws, the biggest one being their list is not maintained, so you have to color code all the broken ones your first submit through using their list -- as about half of them are broken / dead, etc.

Once it is color coded though you can skip all the broken ones on their list for all future sites, and you can import any directories into it as you acquire new addresses.

Tool is better than site because it keeps track of all submissions.
So when you load a new directory list you can spot right away the directories that you've already submitted to ;)

Yes, it's a must have extension when submitting through Firefox.
We're very lucky it's now available for free, it was quite expensive in the past.
