Submdomains redirecting to main domain

    Hi,

    While requesting any subdomain its redirecting to my main domain.

    I have never created any subdomain but when requesting any word before my domain name its redirecting to my main domain..

    example:

    anything.mydomain.com
    anyword.mydomain.com

    It should not be done.. Please help me solve the problem.

    You need to check your DNS settings of the domain. If you have a star mark before your IP address which is assigned to your main domain name you need remove that first and then try again.

    Thanks for the reply but there is no star mark before IP address in my DNS settings.

    I would like to know how did you check this. you need to login to the server either through the panel or ssh to see this entry

    He's likely asking if you have a wildcard DNS record in place.
    It sounds like you do not.
    Either way, while sloppy, it will not matter if its there or not, IF you have the subdomains listed as either A records or CNAMEs.

    My guess is you need to add the vhost for these on your web server.
