SubliminalMP3s.com Launch - 1 Year in the Making! 2%+ Conversion + Unique Features

Hi everyone! I am really excited to finally officially announce the launch of our clickbank affiliate program!

Product Description: We are a little different to most clickbank products in that we are not a 1 page website, but a webstore with 170+ products. Our products are all subliminal audio albums, which are a personal development / self help product; to really keep this section short subliminals can be seen as a mild alternative to hypnosis. We have albums on everything from confidence to motivation, from the law of attraction to weight loss, and beyond.

Our History: Our website has been in the making for nearly a year now. I joined this forum with a view of seeing what affiliates wanted, what made a clickbank affiliate program successful, and announcing our launch and recruiting affiliates. We didn't want to launch while the conversion rate was less than 1% so we have waited and made some MAJOR changes over the last 3 months which have pushed this conversion rate up (see below for conversion stats).

• Link Generator: A simple system to let you link to ANY page within our site - not just the homepage (all fully integrated with your clickbank ID)
  
• Articles: All of our articles have been written by myself, and fully spun - this means you can get a UNIQUE version of the article, with your affiliate links built in (we will be adding more articles every month). p.s. I am really excited about these articles, and each one takes me almost 2 hours just to spin, but of course, as with any article when it is spun they are not perfect, but they should still save you a lot of time.
  
• Banners: A wide range of shapes and sizes with a simple and professional look.
  
• Keywords Lists: Several lists of keywords; core subliminal keywords, related niche type keywords (i.e. hypnosis), and keywords for our popular products.
  
• Affiliate Starter Guide: A large PDF containing a lot of advice especially for those new to affiliate marketing (focusing a lot on different traffic generation methods and giving tips on what works with our program).

CONVERSION STATS:

As mentioned above we have been changing and tweaking the site over the last 3 months to improve conversion rates. 3 months ago they stood at around 0.7%. Over the last month they have been consistently around 2.2%.

The main thing which has improved conversions is the full checkout / basket system we have created from scratch - more about this below, but here are some conversion screenshots:


This screenshot from google analytics shows our conversion rate changing over the last few months. You can see it covers 809 transactions so we think this is a large enough number to show accurate enough conversions. The overall conversion rate is 1.49% but this is over 3+ months, and over the last 4-5 weeks the site seems more settled and conversions are definitely improved.


These clickbank stats are from the last 2 weeks (after we implemented the checkout, and a few affiliates started to make some sales). Overall the hops per order is 62.

You can see I have added some bad MS Paint highlighting on this image too. The red squares around the hops at the top highlight 3 bad affiliates who were sending us JUNK traffic (i.e. traffic from free traffic exchanges, or those scammy $5 for 10,000 hits type services). This traffic is totally useless (and very frustrating to receive), but even with this traffic the overall hops per order is 62, and if you look down the list at the affiliates who have made sales you can see it is possible to get a better conversion rate than this.

Also highlighted is our refund rate - only 2%. There has only been 1 refund in the last 2 weeks!

Unique Features:

1. Checkout system: Our checkout system is completely unique to us, and developed in-house so we have full control and can update it / tweak it as we need to. It works as any normal checkout system would - people can add multiple products to their basket and checkout a larger order. There is also an automatic multibuy discount where people can save up to 50% on their order depending on how many they buy at once. This extra incentive made the albums cheaper essentially, but also increased the average order value from $14.97 to just over $28.
2. Recurring purchases: We do see a lot of repeat purchases. I don't know how to work the stat out on what % of people come back and purchase more but it is pretty common
3. Different price points: As well as the multibuy discount as standard we can run promotions on groups of albums and create coupon codes to give 30% off. We also have the ability to flip the prices on the whole site and reduce them by 50% - this all gives people chance to buy a few products cheaper, or to make their first purchase on a cheaper album and then come back for more regular priced albums.

Our Future: That depends on YOU, but we are here to stay and have big plans. We want to grow this website into the largest self help webstore online and we want it to all be affiliate driven. We are committed to improving our conversion rate, and our website generally, and over the next few months there will be several more updates - more banners (product focused ones too), LOTS more PRE-SPUN articles, more keywords, affiliate competitions and more (wer'e open to suggestions).

On the customer facing side of the business we will be launching 5-10 new albums every month, improving the design and flow of the site, hopefully getting some promotional videos made as well as giving regular discounts on some of our key albums, and occasionally running BIG sales site wide.

Is the hop preserved when someone opts into your list?

 

If a visitor lands on a product but buys another product original sender gets the sale ?

 

@onlinemoniez - Yes, if your visitor joins our newsletter and makes a purchase you will be credited in full. We use natural links from our newsletter which don't overwrite your hoplink. We want our site to be affiliate driven and we will never overwrite cookies like this.

@EvcRo - Yes, Whatever product is bought (across the full range of 170+) you will be credited for no matter what page you link to originally. Multiple purchases are common, so are buyers who try one then come back for more. All of our products are tied to our one vendor account and you will make commission on whatever albums are purchased. It just makes sense to link them to the most relevant product if you are talking about a specific niche

 

Looks like a serious investment and i'm sure you will be rewarded, good luck! I will try to promote it myself even my connections in this area are atm null but there is a time to start for everything.

 

I have a website that is somewhat related to this niche (hypnosis) so I could probably do a decent promotion for it pretty quickly... Is there any chance I can receive a review copy of one of the mp3s to see (or more accurately, hear) what it is I'd be promoting as an affiliate?

Hi, Thought I would give yours a go since you have all the articles spun making it easy to use.
Just have a question for you - I tested the spinner on your site so added my clickbank id and produced an article. Tested my link and yep all worked great.
I did not post the article anywhere however one of us appears to have bots - I got 266 hop links on clickbank - yet the only place I put my id was in your spinner.

@Kaz: Hi Kaz - we noticed this too when a few people used the spinner last night - it was essentially a bug which when you submitted an article request generated a hop but basically kept reloading the page over and over giving multiple hops. If you check it again today you should have no problems - it was fixed as soon as we noticed last night.

We hope you enjoy the spun articles, we really wanted to offer them to give affiliates a headstart - as we mentioned they are not perfect, but you can tweak them / add to them a lot quicker than you can write your own article and they are based off the type of articles which have converted for us.

Updates

Sales: We've had a few affiliates sending some traffic. 3 have even made sales already, which has increased our gravity; previously: 4.8 - now: 7.73
3 new spun articles added: "Is subliminal learning effortless?", "7 facts about subliminal messaging" and "positive thinking and subliminal messages". These spun articles have proven pretty popular already, and I know they have led to at least 1 of these 3 new affiliate sales this week so we will definitely be adding more articles too.
4x new albums: Launching this Thursday 25th we have 4 new albums: Winning Poker Mindset, Increase IQ, Negotiation Skills, and Persuasion Skills. These will have front page coverage in our side bar, and will have an automatic discount of 30% just until Monday.

* we plan to have over 100 new albums launching over the next year, you can either join our affiliate newsletter or check the forum for announcements, or if you have a niche which would be receptive to particular albums we haven't got yet then let us know and we will see if we can put them in our production / launch queue.

Curious to try this out. I've heard of subliminal MP3's before, but never tried promoting them.

I have a few ideas on how I'm going to promote these MP3's. Would I be able to have a review copy by any chance to see what it's like though? Maybe a copy of the "stop worrying" subliminal MP3?

Thanks again to everybody who is getting involved!
We have made some further changes / improvements to the site and we seem to be really gaining momentum now. Anyway, first of all here is a screenshot of some updated conversion stats. The conversion rate has stayed similar to what was announced above, but quite a few more affiliates have made sales now.


As you can see from the stats we don't have any affiliates sending us massive traffic (yet), and some of the hops to order stats are REALLY GOOD, but obviously this is balanced by people who have sent us 10-30 visits or so and not made a sale (yet )

Updates

Gravity: previously: starting gravity: 4.8, last week: 7.73, now: 15.58
3 new spun articles added: "positive affirmations vs subliminal messages" "think and grow rich" and "the law of attraction" (LONG article). These spun articles are still getting used a lot, people are posting them to their own blogs, starting mini sites, and submitting them to article sites (after a little tweaking), and they are driving affiliate sales currently. We will continue to add to this growing collection.
Audio Sampler Added: We have been meaning to add this for a while, now on every product page is a sampler that people can use to quickly play samples from our tracks so they know what our sounds are like / what to expect.

This next week we will have another 3-4 new albums launching and plan to add some product image graphics to brigten our pages up soon too. Thanks again to all the affiliates who are working with us, as usual if you have any questions or need any help then either post, or PM me.

Just noticed I made my first sale of this yesterday.

I haven't tried promoting it too much really. I only have a single article on it.

It converted at 1 in 17. Might have to try to get back to this.

 

Yes, I saw the sale come in It probably is a little bit of luck to be honest to get a sale on just 1 article with a low number of hops, but the articles we offer are what is driving 90% of affiliate sales at the minute and if you can post them and get them seen or drive traffic back to a mini site with some simple articles on then this should work.

Updates: I will announce some big updates next week hopefully, but we are planning on making product graphics (i.e. mock-up box images for all of our albums), getting some more banners done, and I will be putting more spun articles on the site over the next few days and the weekend. Gravity is around 23 now too Thanks again everyone, and as usual I am always happy to help / advise any way I can.

I started doing some small promotion a few weeks back, but due to lack of time I have not put any real effort in maybe 2 hours work and I am very impressed with this product.

Check the attachment 2 sales in 54 hops which is great since I have only written maybe 5 articles and created a small blog.

I am glad that I now have some free time on my hands so I can beef up my efforts.

 

It's been a couple of weeks since I updated here and we have made some pretty big changes and improvements, and overall the sales have grown and gravity (and so affiliates promoting us) has risen steadily too.

Updates

Gravity: Currently around 33 - for the last week or so it has been hovering between 29 and 35.



Average Sales Value: This has stayed consistent at around the $30 mark as mentioned above, but eventually the sales stats on clickbank for the last 8 weeks have caught up and are now accurately showing what affiliates actually earn per sale: It is currently measuring $21.78.

New Articles: As usual I have added more articles, I think there are approx 4-5 new ones since last update - on areas of memory, panic attacks, visualization, general self help, and subliminal messaging in general of course. (more to come on a weekly basis)

Full Collection of Product Images! Thank you for everyone's feedback the other week on these, it really helped us to make some tweaks and finalize the design of our boxes. They are all live on the website now. We are hoping they will improve conversions a little too, but they only went live this morning so can't give stats on that yet.

These are all available for affiliates to take and use - we have a system where you can select the product you want the box image for and generate it with your affiliate ID built in:

Full Product CSV / Spreadsheet: We have also just implemented a system which will generate a full spreadsheet with all of our product links in at once. As usual you enter your clickbank ID and it will generate an excel spreadsheet with the links, all with your affiliate ID inbuilt.

We will be making these product box images available in a range of different sizes too - hopefully within the next week. Beyond this we want to get some full landing pages for affiliates / ppc use, and of course we are always open to suggestions and happy to help affiliates in any way we can.

Looks good, man. I'm on board. Hope we can both make some money. Only thing I can suggest is more pre-spun articles. That's a really amazing tool you're providing us there and the more available the better. Keep up the good work!

 

I haven't updated this thread for a while and we have grown and made some more changes over the last month so here is a quick update.

Conversion Rate: Our conversion rate varies from week to week from around 1.5% to 2.5%. It also varies from different traffic sources - quality sites / articles etc convert at 3%+, while poor quality text links on unrelated websites or free traffic exchanges convert less than 1%... some a lot less!

This picture is taken from the last 60 days. It is sorted in order of number of sales so these are the affiliates who have made the most sales for us. Overall the conversion rate is 52 hops to order, so this is approx 1.98%.

If it was sorted by number of hops sent you would see a few affiliates at the top of the list who have sent 2000-4000 hops and not made a sale and this is from poor quality traffic sources basically - but looking at the image you can see a lot of affiliates who have made multiple sales and have a hop to order ratio around 20 - 30, so with the right traffic we can convert really well. Anyway, here is the pic:


Refund Rate: Only 2.4% !!!! You can see this on the image above - only 12 refunds out of 498 orders over the last 60 days = a 2.4% refund rate. In an environment where 10-20% refund rates are considered normal or even "good" in some niches we are really happy with this. We provide a lot of information on how our albums work and we answer all questions to keep this rate low. People can even get some free albums before they buy to see exactly what they would be getting.

Gravity: Our gravity is currently hovering between 40-47. At time of writing it is 45.60. You can also see from the image above we have a lot more affiliates on board now and some are starting to make really steady sales - the ones who have the ability to consistently drive traffic to us basically.

New Albums: This is something I keep forgetting to mention in these updates but we launch 3-5 new albums every 2 weeks. Over the last 2 months we have launched a LOT, including:

• An "Attract a Partner" range; Attract Men, Attract Women (top seller), Confidence with Men, Confidence with Women
• A "Pickup" range; Become An Alpha Male (top seller), Pickup Artist Mindset, Overcome Approach Anxiety, Seduction Skills
• A "Female Adult" range; Sexual Confidence, Female Orgasm Enhancement, Breast Enlargement, Breast Reduction
• A "Male Adult" range; Penis Enlargement, Premature Ejaculation Remedy, Impotence Remedy, Male Orgasm Enhancement
• Some general albums: Insomnia Treatment, Stop Panic Attacks, OCD Treatment
• Coming SOON: Some "Get your Ex Back" albums, more dating / relationships ones.. we actually have a list of 70+ we want to add, and we do take suggestions too.
