I have site www.mysite.com Nº1 in 3 keywords in SERP'S and I want now to build a completely new site on www.mysite.com/subdomain will I be able to compit with new keywords as if they were 2 different sites? thanks! Goodfela
A new site as a subdomain won't work. It will be viewed as unrelated content (unless it isn't, just the design changed). Sub folders of domains should target different keywords of equal relevance.
Yes, that's what i want to do. My site's about human resources issues, articles, and so. I want to build a new job search portal as subdomain or subfolder (i think it's the same). Of course it will have differente keywords... Will I succed into positioning it?
Yea you should have no problem..its basically going to be another page and not another...site....if I am understanding this right?
My advice to you would be to link from the homepage to the section of the job search portal which is most related to the subject matter of the main site, that way it does make some sort of sense to Google and will help you rank faster and higher.
The new site will be linked in all pages (4500) of the main site. But you think it's possible to do this? Will my new site compete ok with other job search portals? thnks!
Seems like you're on the right track. Just take few steps first, don't boost linking towards the new subdomain, try only few and observe for few weeks. It is also better to build up first the contents so they will be ready to be cached indexed once you've let inbound links to them.
