subdomain or subpages?

hi,

i like to add new services to my website for selected countries.so from seo point of view subdomain or subpage is best?

example: australia.mywebsite.com or www.mywebsite.com/australia

which is best for good seo result?

You may want to consider page segmentation (see Google Page Segmentation) if the services you are offering are all the same category.Hope that helps.

 

Usually for same type of contents/information/category the subpages is OK and for different category either we can use sub domain or sub page (directories).

 

you should use www.yourdomain.co.in, www.yourdomain.co.au, same way the google uses.

 

You should use pages by keep keyword on that page. i.e if i want to target keyword Web Design Australia, so what I will do . I will make page like this . www.objectsynergy.com/Web-Design-Australia . in this we you can target your keywords and also show pages to your users.

 

If the site is very large and has multiple categories per country, I would say a sub-domain is the way to go (ie. australia.yourwebsite.com/category1, australia.yourwebsite.com/category2). If your site just has a few pages per country, I would use pages instead (ie. www.yourwebsite.com/austraila-category1).

There are many directories that only take services/sites that are from a particular country....for instance, canpages.ca in Canada.

sub page is more important because it gets high Page Rank quickly, since it is a part of your main domain but sub domain is a new website and backlinks starts from 0
