subdomain or subdirectory?

    Hello,

    What is better for SEO, to have your forum at "forum.example.com" or at "example.com/forum"?

    i.e. Which incoming link would be more valuable for search ranking for example.com: forum.example.com/post-path or example.com/forum/post-path?
