I saw too many websites about this topic on google. But i didn't convince myself which is better. I want to ask you what is your experience about it ?
I will ask with a small example.

Let says we have a movie website. We have trailers posters reviews subtitles etc.
Is it better to keep them in subdirectory or subdomain.

Another example we have a video website and we want to have a page for eurovision.
Is it better to keep them in subdirectory or subdomain?

How is google acts i want to know.
This very moment thank you for comments

Generally I'd go with a subdirectory, since it seems to inherit more domain trust than using a subdomain.

Subdomains are harder to rank than subdirectories, and are almost treated as seperate sites. It really all depends on how much content you have- if you have massive amounts of content that is capable of keeping a subdomain up then go with that.

However I'd go with subdirectories personally. Heres a great article on Subdomains vs Subdirectories for further reading.

    All the best.

If we get moves website as exampple
so according to artcile you wrote , we must use subdomain. Becasue there will be too much trailer and the main topic will be trailers.

As I said, it all depends on the amount of content you are going to be adding. If you're adding less than 1,000 pages I'd personally go with a subdirectory. If you'll have enough content to make a complete site alone, I'd go with a subdomain.

Even I have a blog on subdirectory and was advised to transfer it to the root directory for better SEO.

Is it true that root directory gets better SEO than the subdirectory?

if you are going to put exclusively large amount of content dedicated to some specific topic or theme then use a sub-domain else use sub-directory....always remeber google attach trust and quality to sites not only having nice content but also vast coverage about them...u will rarely come across a sub-domain in google's search engine result page.
