what is the best usage for SEO: http://www.domain.com/categ/date/................... or http://categ.domain.com/date/....... ? i need to know
PR is passed from page to page based on links and has nothing to do with being in the same domain or not. This is why internal links count just as much as external links. So, from a PR perspective, it will not matter. It is possible that there might be more difficulty in spidering your second choice, but I doubt it. I think either one is fine.
i have in my site the first choice and someone told me that i should change it to the second. I won't do that until i get a response from you guys thank you!
I prefer the second way. Creating a subdomain and having it link to the main domain sometimes increases inbound links for the main domain. How much this helps i am not sure - but every little bit helps.
Creating subdomains means your site can take multiple rankings for the same site - not just a maximum of 1 listing (+ 1 indented). http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=google&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
indeed that's a good point of view! when searching my site could come up several times with my subdomains , right! anyone else's guess?
what else do you want to know.. Many sites use forums.domain.com - so that way they can get the top 4 or so results for some of their keywords. The threads can rank for the same keywords as the site, it can also mean that your main pages are not overshadowed by other pages of your site that rank well.
