subdomain or directory?

    What do you think guys? is it better having a subdomain or a directory
    ie: news.site.com or www.site.com/news

    Depends on what you goal it, but most go with a directory. subdirectories are seen as a new site to search engines

    It will be easier to SEO for www.site.com/news and you will be doing the main site a favor by creating more content for the site.

    As ServerUnion said the subdomain will be treated as a new site.
