Yes subdomain get benefits form TLD. and google not treat it like a new sandboxed domain. Better u have english site. But if your target audience is in finland...then use finland lanaguage. i recommend you use both. and give flag icon to switch language. by default have language that you think, you visitors know much. Yes it work. if TLD have some specific country extension like co.uk , then you don't need to tell google geographical targeting. If you domain have global tld, like. com or .org then you need to tell good your geographical targeting. other wise let it come on google.com globally. cheers.
