    Hi everyone,

    I've installed WordPress on mydomain.com/sitename and I've created a subdomain sitename.mydomain.com.

If I visit my site on sitename.mydomain.com and click on Contact, for example, it changes to mydomain.com/sitename/conatct/.

Can please somebody advise how could I keep the URL like this: sitename.mydomain.com/contact/

    Thanks for helping! :)

    Thanks for replying!

Nope, I didn't even notice this. :) There is WordPress Address and Site Address. Should I change only Site Address?

I've changed Site Address and I'm getting now 500 Internal Server Error. Can this be fixed?

    I also can't log in anymore to wp-admin :(

EDIT: OK, somehow I got back in and changed the Site Address to the old one.

Do you have a live url (subdomain and domain) that I can take a look at? Maybe you don't have all files in the right place or is only a issue from your menu.

So, what is the old Site Address?

WordPress Address (URL) is where your wordpress installation is stored, in this case it will be:

    http://insplisity.com/best80scartoons
    Code (markup):
Site Address (URL) is the address if you want your site homepage to be different from the directory you installed WordPress, in this case it will be:

    http://best80scartoons.insplisity.com
    Code (markup):
After you change the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) don't forget to resave permalink settings to update your .htaccess file.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

It was http://insplisity.com/best80scartoons, I've changed it to http://best80scartoons.insplisity.com (then the 500 errors stared), so I changed it back to original.

So, basically, I should change WordPress Address and Site Address to http://insplisity.com/best80scartoons?

When I do this, I should go to Settings -> Permalinks and "Save Changes"?

    Thank you!

Did you install wordpress on both domains or separately?

First, I've installed WordPress (via cPanel's Fantastico De Luxe) in "/best80scartoons" directory, and then I created the sub-domain http://best80scartoons.insplisity.com/.

If you install Wordpress as a separate installation on the sub-domain, it will create all it's linking structures automatically. Then just link back and forth from the sites and your problem should be solved.

Not sure how I would do that. What about changing the "WordPress Address" and "Site Address" to http://best80scartoons.insplisity.com/ would work?

You can't give trophy points, sadly. They can only be earned by doing specific things (Post 200 times, etc). You CAN like posts, but you have to be an established member, and to get that you have to be liked three times by other established members. You consequently need three likes to get into the BST section - Meaning small content providers like me who use DP as a marketplace can't post anymore.

You may have guessed I really don't like the new system.
