Subdomain not getting indexed after 3 months?

    Hi,

I installed a forum on my site in August. It is powered by phpBB. However, Google hasn't indexed a single page even though it is linked to from the main site.

Has anyone else had this problem? How can I get google to index the forum?

    Kind Regards,

    fcmisc.

Does the subdomain have external links from relevant places pointing to it? If not, make sure you get those.

    Hey,

The subdomain has direct links from the main domain, which is PR 4. And it's been in my DP signature for a few months (the evil monopoly one). I don't understand how it can have been penalised, unless it's because it's a standard forum template and looks very similar to millions of other sites.

I would try to get a tented link from a PR 7 or PR 8 website and resubmit the domain in question. That should get you indexed in 48 hours normally - if that doesn't work then something must be wrong with the DNS coverage or similar.

    Regards

Well, it's not exactly an active forum is it?
It also looks terrible in firefox, not that that should matter for the SE's, obviously.
I don't see that the content would be such that google should index it - sorry.

That said: building links to it from game-related sites (in the board game niche) should help.
